SÍNDROME DE BURNOUT EN DOCENTES DE LA UNIDAD EDUCATIVA HORACIO HIDROVO VELÁZQUEZ, PORTOVIEJO

Abstract

The study was developed with the main objective of determining the degree or level of Burnout Syndrome in teachers at the Horacio Hidrovo Velázquez Educational Unit, in the City of Portoviejo. 16 teachers participated in the study. The diagnostic instruments applied were: The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire has the function of measuring professional exhaustion, it aims to measure the frequency and intensity with which Burnout is suffered, it measures the 3 aspects of Burnout syndrome: Sub-scale of exhaustion or emotional exhaustion, sub-scale of depersonalization and sub-scale of personal fulfillment, in addition a pre-prepared survey was applied, data were collected and analyzed descriptively in a quantitative study where demographic variables such as sex, age, other factors and important aspects for carrying out and obtaining data for the investigation. It was possible to determine that the demands of teleworking, work overload, working conditions and other factors can trigger work stress. The sex that presents the most manifestations of work stress is the feminine in 81%, the average ages of the participants oscillate between 26 to 40 years and 38% of teachers were identified level or degreez of moderate stress.
