Abstract
The research was developed with the objective of evaluating the effect of nutritional blocks made from titonia on the productive performance of rabbits of the New Zealand breed during the growth and finishing stages. A completely randomized experimental design was used, with a total of four treatments, including three concentrations of flour (10, 20 and 30%) plus a control treatment. In each of the diets, an evaluation of the productive parameters was carried out (initial weight, final weight, weight increase, feed consumption, feed conversion, carcass yield and cost-benefit ratio). Statistical analysis was performed using the InfoStat program with a 95% confidence interval. Significant differences (p<0.05) were obtained as a result between each of the averages of the productive parameters during the growth and finishing stages of the rabbits. A better final weight was found in treatments T0 and T3 with a total of 2928.25 ± 25.94 to 2943.50 ± 34.95 g, in the same way the weight increase was greater in the same treatments with average values of 761.25±34.19 and 723.00±12.83 g for the finishing stage. Food consumption in both phases presented significant differences (p>0.05) in both stages, showing superiority in the control treatment with means of 1885.50±7.14 and 2556.50±10.66 g/group. The feed conversion presented better results during the growth stage in the treatments that included the buttercup meal, while for the finishing stage a better conversion was obtained in the T0 and T3 treatments, with values of 3.36 and 3.44; In the same way, a better carcass yield was obtained with values of 54.55 and 55.83%, respectively. The economic return was similar between the control treatment and the T3 treatment with an average of $1.31. It is concluded that titonia flour improved the productive performance of rabbits during the growth and finishing stages.

La investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo evaluar el efecto de la inclusión de bloques nutricionales elaborados con diferentes niveles de harina de Botón de Oro (Tithonia Diversifolia) en la alimentación de conejos de raza mestiza durante las etapas de crecimiento y acabado. Se utilizó un diseño experimental Completamente al Azar, con un total de cuatro tratamientos, con la inclusión de tres concentraciones de la harina (10, 20 y 30%) más un tratamiento control. En cada una de las dietas se efectuó una avaluación del rendimiento productivo (peso inicial, peso final, incremento de peso, consumo de alimento, conversión de alimento, rendimiento a la canal y relación beneficio costo). Se realizó un análisis estadístico mediante la utilización del programa InfoStat con un intervalo de confianza del 95%. Se obtuvo como resultado diferencias significativas (p<0,05) entre cada uno de los promedios de los parámetros productivos durante las etapas de crecimiento y acabado de los conejos. Se encontró un mejor peso final en los tratamientos T0 y T3 con un total de 2239,50±8,72 a 2233,25±8,72 g, de la misma manera el incremento de peso fue mayor en el tratamiento control con valores promedios de 1109,75±8,86 g para la etapa de acabado. El consumo de alimento en ambas fases presentó diferencias significativas (p>0,05) en ambas etapas, mostrando superioridad en el tratamiento control con promedios de 2456,50±20,73 y 2449,00±20,73 g/grupo. La conversión de alimento no presentó mejores resultados durante la etapa de crecimiento en los tratamientos que incluyeron la harina de botón de oro, en tanto que para la etapa de acabado se obtuvo una mejor conversión en los tratamientos T0 y T3, con valores de 2,3 y 2,09; de la misma manera se obtuvo un mejor rendimiento a la canal con valores de 54,55 y 55,83 %, respectivamente. El rendimiento económico fue similar entre el tratamiento control con el tratamiento T3 con un promedio de $1,31. Se concluye que la harina de titonia mejoró el rendimiento productivo de los conejos durante las etapas de crecimiento y acabado.
