Abstract
The research was developed with the objective of evaluating the partial inclusion of palo bean meal (Cajanus cajan) and its incidence on the productive behavior of broilers. The investigation was carried out in the San Antonio parish belonging to the Chone canton, province of Manabí. A completely randomized block design (DBCA) was used with four treatments that included three concentrations of pole bean flour (5, 10 and 15%) plus a control treatment (100% commercial balanced feed). For each of the diets, the parameters Daily weight gain (g), Cumulative feed conversion (g/g), Average weekly feed consumption (g), Weekly cumulative weight gain (kg) and Cost-benefit analysis were evaluated. The results were analyzed using the statistical program InfoSta. It was obtained as results that the inclusion of 15% of the pole bean flour showed a behavior similar to the control treatment with a weight of 3070 g (T0) and 3067 g (T1). For their part, the reported values of feed conversion were not statistical differences between each of the treatments under study. The economic profitability values showed a higher profit margin for the T3 treatment with a total of $1.23. It is concluded that the inclusion of pole bean flour in 15% allowed to improve the economic and productive yields of the chickens.
