Abstract
El presente ensayo determina el perfil profesional de los trabajadores sociales del siglo XXI, en los diferentes contextos históricos en que la profesión ha ido surgiendo al paso de los años, y como está vinculada a la praxis social, conservando siempre su carácter pragmático. Para ello, se realiza un estudio bibliográfico que se centra en la búsqueda de información relevante, realizada de manera sistemática. Siguiendo los resultados, el estudio se propone contribuir al conocimiento de la realidad profesional de los trabajadores sociales, teniendo en cuenta tanto la evolución histórica del término como la realidad actual y las posibilidades que ofrece trabajar en el mundo de las empresas privadas y públicas.
Description
This essay determines the professional profile of social workers of the 21st century, in the different historical contexts in which the profession has emerged over the years, and how it is linked with social praxis, always preserving the pragmatic character. For this, we make a bibliographic study that focuses on the search relevant information which must be done in a systematic way. Following the results, the aims of this case is to contribute with the knowledge that professional social workers need to have, taking into account both the historical evolution of the term and the current possibilities that offer working in the world of private and public factories.
