This thesis is intended to conduct a topographic and hydraulic study and design of the distribution network of drinking water for Río Chico parish´s Santa Martha, El Pechiche and San Vicente of Portoviejo city with its own budget, which will serve as a base to start the implementation of the project. These activities will be made to solve the problem of drinking water of the three sectors of the parish, and contribute to social and economic development. Through a survey will be announced different levels that can be found in the field to study, how they done it, the type of instrumentation and equipment necessary for the respective performance of the survey. This survey will be so important to determine the layout of the distribution network, according to the dimensions. Addressing the need expressed by Río Chico parish, the Technical University of Manabí due to contribute to community development through the civil engineering career, considered it necessary to implement this project through a graduation work.
