    Estudio de factibilidad para la elaboración de balanceado de maíz en la parroquia Abdón Calderón

    The agricultural and livestock sectors are the main drivers of development and employment in Ecuador, making them attractive for investment and the generation of various products and services. In this context, the objective of this research is to conduct a feasibility study for the establishment of a maize feed manufacturing company for pig farming in the Abdón Calderón, Manabí parish. The study was divided into three phases: Market, Technical, and Financial, using a mixed-methods methodology with a descriptive and synthetic research type and a cross-sectional statistical approach. A total of 171 pig farmers in the Calderón, Junín, Pueblo Nuevo, and Calceta sectors were evaluated. The results indicate that the product has a significant acceptance of 78.4% among farmers at a competitive price compared to the competition. In the technical results, it was verified that Manabí is suitable for the implementation of this type of company, especially in the Calderón sector due to its proximity to raw materials and the availability of machinery for an annual maize processing capacity of 9,216,000 kg. From an economic perspective, the project is feasible with a Net Present Value (NPV) of $63,430.04 and an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 25%. In conclusion, the implementation of this project is highly recommended due to the promising rate of return expected in terms of market, technical, and financial aspects.
