ItemUTILIZACIÓN DE RESIDUOS SÓLIDOS DE ALMIDÓN DE YUCA EN LA SUSTITUCIÓN PARCIAL DEL MAÍZ EN LA ALIMENTACIÓN DE CERDOS EN LA ETAPA DE CEBA.(INGENIERO ZOOTECNISTA, 2016) BUENAVENTURA ZAMBRANO TEDDY GARDEL ; CEVALLOS CONFORME ALVARO DARÍOSUMMARY The research aimed to determine the productive performance in diets of pigs at the stage of fattening using 10%, 20% and 30% of solid waste from cassava starch in partial substitution of corn, the same that developed on the premises of pig production unit of the Faculty of Sciences Zootécnicas Chone extension of the Technical University of Manabi. FCR and cost of inputs which 16 pigs (Pientrain and Polanchina) using solid waste feeding of cassava starch in the partial substitution of corn with a commercial control was applied was assessed. The results showed that all treatments no statistical differences, analyzing witness and sex without any difference in any of the cases mentioned thus confirming that the use of solid waste from cassava starch can be used in partial substitution of corn without implying any alteration in its stage of fattening pigs. In the case of increased daily weight of pigs, the witness was 35,95 kg / day, with the largest increase daily weight in relation to the three treatments, T3 was 36.45 kg / day given this a higher increase in relation to the other two treatments studied. Production costs of different levels evaluated in feeding pigs indicated that these are inversely proportional to the level of substitution of corn by the residue of cassava starch, ie, that the higher replacement costs per kg. Of food are lower and in this case the kg of food with lower cost was the T3 with a production cost of 0.52 cents. The best feed conversion of the treatments T1 the treatment obtained with a need to 3.48 kg of food to obtain 1 kg of live weight, compared to treatment with the witness noted that this lower feed conversion obtained the three treatments
