ItemCOMPETENCIAS Y DESEMPEÑO DEL LABORATORIO CLÍNICO DE SOLCA PORTOVIEJO EN MARCADORES TUMORALES(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2021) PACHAY QUIROZ, CRISTINA MERCEDES ; SALTOS GARCÍA, KARLA ALEJANDRA ; BAUZA FERMÍN, ROBERTOThe six sigma model is a quality management tool that introduces the concept of improvement based on the measurement of the variability of a process compared to established analytical goals, in terms of standard deviation or failures (defects) per million. This research aims to determine the competence and performance in the tumor markers of the Solca Portoviejo clinical laboratory of 4 analytes, taking into account the values of the internal quality control (ICC) and external control (EQAS), in turn considering the analytical goals as an important and primordial factor to perform the six sigma calculation and thus observe if the analytes under study are within the allowed range or are exceeded. The behavior of the measured ones was evaluated through mathematical calculations in which the calculation of the total error (Te), bias, coefficient of variation (% CV) and the quality specifications were required. For this, analytical goals such as: biological variability, Rilibak and SEKK DMAX were studied in order to observe the performance that has been obtained by applying the sigma calculation. Of the four tumor markers it was observed that in the biological variability if an optimal performance is met in the period June-December 2019, with the exception of Rilibak and SEKK DMAX where values below three sigma were obtained and consequently an insufficient performance of according to the analytical goals established

ItemSISTEMA DE GESTIÓN DE CALIDAD EN LA CARRERA LABORATORIO CLÍNICO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2019) BRAVO BRAVO, JUNIOR MARCELO ; SANTANA CASTRO, ARIANNA ROMINA ; BAUZA FERMÍN, ROBERTOQuality is a concept that has been taking importance in the last 30 years, from its beginning in the industries until its current expansion, to the point that it is now a synonym for efficiency and effectiveness, so it is now immersed in administrations and education For this reason, it is a necessary requirement in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) to have within its principles a Quality Management System (QMS) to manage all its processes and ensure the best possible result. Currently the Clinical Laboratory Career does not have an adequate management of its processes, thus exposing the main objective of this work framed in the identification of processes in addition to its correct management and development, this will focus on the principles of ISO 9001 ( International Organization for Standardization) taking its approach to processes and subprocesses allowing quality assurance at all the aforementioned levels, an own guide for the Clinical Laboratory Career will be proposed which will be tested for errors and improvements to seek its correct adaptation with base in the development of the current administration. Objective: Design a quality management model with a process-based approach in international standards such as the ISO Standard. Methodology: The study is observational, ambispective, longitudinal and analytical, with the administrative structure of the Clinical Laboratory Career of the Technical University of Manabí-Portoviejo (Ecuador) as its unit of study. The analysis of academic management in the career allowed to find the errors associated with the lack of processes and administrative management, where the guide presented can play a fundamental role ensuring quality, document flow in a correct and more efficient way, the SGC was created in such a way that it can demonstrate the requirements of the CLINICAL LABORATORY CAREER LEARNING ENVIRONMENT ASSESSMENT MODEL (Preliminary Version), for career evaluation, described below, the development and socialization was given in conjunction with the academic commission, to be able to count on their approval in addition to making a change of focus on the staff as recommended by ISO 9001. During the development, flaws were found in the proposed model that were being improved to adapt to the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Career this demonstrated that an approach of processes also ensures continuous improvement, which is essential for the evolution of a QMS, POES (Standardized Operating Processes) were also created, which ensure the correct work in each of the processes

ItemSISTEMA DE GESTIÓN DOCUMENTAL PARA EL ÁREA DE TUBERCULOSIS, HOSPITAL DE ESPECIALIDADES DE PORTOVIEJO(Universidad técnica de Manabí, 2021) SALAZAR ORDOÑEZ, MARÍA SOLEDAD ; ZAMBRANO MOREIRA, CINTHYA JAMILETH ; BAUZA FERMÍN, ROBERTOA document management system allows the medical, administrative, and technical staff of the hospital to achieve efficient results in the functions and services provided by the institution for diagnosis. The objective of this project is to develop Standardized Operating Procedures, as technical instructions in document management for the tuberculosis area of the Portoviejo Specialty Hospital. The methodology used is descriptive, observational, not experimental. For this, instruments such as open interviews, SWOT strategies, and bibliographic review of current documents, leaders and standards based on the tuberculosis laboratory were used in all phases. A situational analysis was carried out to determine the needs of the area and the proposed SOPs for the documentary system were elaborated, the development of these documents was framed in 3 phases of processes. It starts from the request of the test to the delivery of results. In the pre-analytical phase, 3 SOPs were carried out, in the analytical phase 11 SOPs, and in the post-analytical phase 5 SOPs were elaborated. The document management proposal for the tuberculosis diagnosis area was presented to the authorities of the Clinical Laboratory. A part of the document management was contributed to contribute to the established needs of the tuberculosis area. These were based on technical standards from national and international organizations; such as the National Institute of Public Health and Research (INSPI), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) / World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (LA UNION)
