ItemEntomofauna asociada al cultivo del algodón, (Gossypium hirsutum L.) bajo diferentes sistemas de manejo de plagas(INGENIERIA AGRONOMICA, 2020-11) ARTEAGA QUIJIJE, WILBER EFRÉN ; ZAMBRANO CHÁVEZ, NELSON DAVIDCOTTON (GOSSYPIUM HIRSUTUM L.) IS AN IMPORTANT CROP FOR THE PRODUCTION OF FIBER FOR THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY BUT IT IS ALSO USED FOR THE PRODUCTION OF OILS, FLOUR AND HUSKS FOR LIVESTOCK FEED. GIVEN THE AMOUNT OF PHYTOPHAGOUS SPECIES THAT FEED ON THE PLANT'S ORGANS, THIS CROP IS PRODUCED WITH A HIGH USE OF CHEMICAL INSECTICIDES, WHICH MAKES ITS PRODUCTION UNSUSTAINABLE. IN ORDER TO EVALUATE MORE SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVES, DURING THE PERIOD MAY - OCTOBER 2019, A TRIAL WAS CARRIED OUT IN A 750 M2 LOT, WITH THREE REPETITIONS EVALUATING THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT TREATMENTS ON THE ENTOMOFAUNA OF THE CROP. THE TREATMENTS WERE. T1. WEEKLY APPLICATIONS OF THE MIXTURE OF LAMBDA CYHALOTHRIN + THIAMETHOXAM (1 CC.L-1) (TEN SPRAYS IN TOTAL), T2. ALTERNATION OF A BOTANICAL INSECTICIDE BASED ON AZADIRACHTIN (2 CC.L-1), WITH A BIOLOGICAL INSECTICIDE BASED ON TRICHODERMA SPP (7.5 CC.L-1) (FOUR SPRAYS IN TOTAL). T3. UNTREATED PLANTS (CONTROL). THE TREATMENTS WERE EVALUATED WEEKLY FOR A PERIOD OF 16 WEEKS ESTIMATING THE POPULATIONS OF THE MOST RELEVANT PHYTOPHAGOUS SPECIES. WHITEFLY, BEMISIA TABACI, COTTON APHID, APHIS GOSSYPII, LEAF BORER, BUCCULATRIX THURBERIELLA, THRIPS, THRIPS PALMI. PARASITISM ON B. TABACI AND A.
