Item"Evaluación del desempeño productivo del pollo Hubbard variedad Redbro S "(Facultad de Ciencias Veterinarias > Carrera de Medicina Veterinaria, 2021) Arteaga Mendoza, Leonor Estefania ; Chavez Pin, Marìa De los AngelesThis research work was carried out in the poultry area of the Department of Animal Production at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences-Technical University of Manabí, Lodana parish, Santa Ana canton, in which the objective was to evaluate the productive performance of chickens. Hubbard variety Redbro'S, 200 chickens 1 day old were used without sexing, a Completely Random Design DCA was used, with 4 treatments and 5 repetitions, (T1R1-T1R5, T2R1-T2R5, T3R1-T3R5, T4R1-T4R5). In the treatments (T1) (T2), (T3) commercial foods (brands) available in the market were used. In the treatment (T4) or control a food prepared by the students was used, for this raw materials available in the food supply market were used, with all the foods three types or food stages were handled Initial (1 - 20 days), growth (21 - 40 days) and fattening (41 - 63 days), this program lasted 63 days, because this type of red chicken is slow growing and does not have the same physiology as white broiler chickens. Productive parameters such as: final weight (PF), weight gain (GP), feed conversion (CA), European efficiency index (IEE), carcass yield (RC), Mortality (M), cost-benefit ( CB); observing biosecurity and animal welfare standards. A randomized experimental design (DCA) was used in the experiment, a simple classification ANOVA was performed for the data analysis, and the Tukey test (P <0.05) was used to determine differences between means. The research results for those of the treatments (T1: Pronaca, T2: Nutril, T3: Bioalimentos, T4: Robusto), yielded good results in the productive parameters for the Hubbard variety Redbros chicken line, without highly statistical differences. It was determined that this line of red chickens here in Manabí has an excellent productive response in relation to the productive parameters that were evaluated in the present research work, so the production and commercialization of these birds can be extended in the poultry areas of the Manabita province.
