In Latin America, the Brucellosis has a prevalence of 9% and in Ecuador in the coast is categorized as the region two of high prevalence with a 10.62% of Brucellosis suis Agrocalidad 2009. This research aims to determine the presence of Brucella suis. In pigs intended for slaughter in the center of the Municipal Slaughter Rates of the Canton Portoviejo, by taking 200 samples at random over 4 weeks, which were analyzed using the method of Rose Bengal which is also known as buffered antigen of the card; that is a quick test of macroscopic agglutination and that only detects IgG. And in the case of positive confirmation shall be done by the competitive Elisa that is based on the use of antigens or antibodies marked with an enzyme, so that the resulting conjugates have activity both enzymatic immune as, in this research the diagnosis using Rose Bengal which is a test that has a sensitivity of 99.3% and specificity of 73% technique recommended by the WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION 2011. This technique was carried out in the laboratory of agrocalidad. The laboratory that was used for the diagnosis is located in the canton of Santa Ana, province of Manabi. The lab report resulted in total that all samples were negative by giving a negative result does not proceeded to perform a diagnostic technique of competitive Elisa because all samples were 0 % of the presence of the disease.
