dc.description At the Calderón Health Center, Canton Portoviejo, a project was carried out whose general objective was to promote preventive actions of factors associated with dermatoses prevalent in children under 5 years of age, through an intervention plan, which would reduce this health problem. The type of research to be carried out is that of action-participation and the technique for the collection of information was a focus group. The results show that by carrying out the activities planned in the intervention plan, 85% of the population under study were educated about preventive measures of dermatological diseases in children under five, thus favoring the health of children; And, with the fulfillment of the programmed activities, which were directed to the elaboration and delivery of a leaflet of dermatology in children; Preventive technical education of dermatological diseases; And the elaboration and delivery of informational banners on scientifically updated childhood prevalent dermatological diseases, it was possible to provide 90% tools for the control and prevention of dermatosis in children under five years of age. It was concluded that the results led to the support of parents in the management of dermatological diseases in this population. es_ES
dc.description.abstract En el Centro de Salud Calderón, del Cantón Portoviejo, se realizó un proyecto cuyo objetivo general fue promover acciones preventivas de factores asociados a las dermatosis prevalentes en menores de 5 años, a través de un plan de intervención, que permita disminuir este problema de salud. El tipo de investigación a realizarse es la de acción-participación y la técnica para la recolección de la información fue de grupo focal. Los resultados demuestran que mediante la realización de las actividades planificadas en el plan de intervención, se logró educar al 85% de la población en estudio, sobre medidas preventivas de enfermedades dermatológicas en menores de cinco años, favoreciendo de este modo, la salud de los niños; y, con el cumplimiento de las actividades programadas, las cuales estuvieron encaminadas a la elaboración y entrega de folleto de dermatología en niños; enseñanza técnica preventiva de enfermedades dermatológicas; y, elaboración y entrega de pancartas informativas sobre enfermedades dermatológicas prevalentes en la infancia actualizadas científicamente, se logró proporcionar en un 90% herramientas para el control y prevención de la dermatosis a padres de los menores de cinco años. Se concluyó que los resultados condujeron a fomentar el apoyo a los padres de familia en el manejo de las enfermedades dermatológicas en esta población. es_ES
