EXPENDIO DE CARNES Y MARISCOS EN EL MERCADO MUNICIPAL No 1 DE PORTOVIEJO Y SUSCONSECUENCIAS EN LA SALUD DE LOS CONSUMIDORES, JUNIO A NOVIEMBRE DE 2006

Abstract

T he present investigatio n on “it E xpends o f M eats and S hellfish in the M unicipal Market No 1 of Portoviejo and their consequences in the Consumer's health during June - N ovem ber o f the 2006 ”, it was carries out in our soul Mater. The type of study employee was the prospective-descriptive character with the purpose of determining the consequences in the health of the consumers. The study sample was constituted by 45 merchants and 45 consumers, the same one that was obtained by means of survey, observation and pursuit. Eleven obtained the dates by means of charts and graphics, we observes that the biggest percentage of consumers of Shellfish presented pathologies like: cutaneous level and gastroenteritis with 27% of the total of the sample and in the sector of Meats they presented pathologies like: typhoid Fever and gastroenteritis with 23% of the total of the sample. This i due to that the Municipal Market No 1 of Portoviejo the insalubrious reigns in the one it expends of Meats and Shellfish caused by several factors like: System of obsolete sewer system, wrong handling of waste solid, little conscience and education of the retailers and consumers, absence of applications and regulation of the ordinances on the part of the competent authorities. The established recommendations directed to the competent authorities of the department of Environment and health, and Municipal the Company (EMASEP) and to the retailers of the foods.
