FACTORES SOCIO DEMOGRÁFICOS QUE INFLUYEN EN LA ANEMIA DE GESTANTES QUE ASISTEN AL CENTRO DE SALUD PORTOVIEJO

Abstract

Anemia is one of the main public health concerns in developed and underdeveloped countries; It affects a quarter of the world's population, where morbidity and mortality especially affect pregnant women. A descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional investigation was carried out with the objective of analyzing the different sociodemographic factors that influence the anemia of pregnant women who attend the Portoviejo health center from January to October 2021, working with 26 medical records of pregnant women. treated and diagnosed with anemia, no type of sampling was applied as it had a small universe. For the review of the medical records of pregnant women with a diagnosis of anemia, a registration form prepared from the 051 form was used as an instrument, thus identifying the variables that triggered the problem. The results show that age is a fundamental social factor, causing that the younger the woman, the higher the chances of suffering anemia, having children before pregnancy decreases iron reserves and other essential nutrients, if she has fewer controls of the established by the WHO causes that it is not possible to identify, prevent or treat any pathology during pregnancy, concluding that the identification of the social factors studied in the investigation, establish that the highest percentage of pregnant women with anemia was presented in adolescents from 14 to 19 years, due to lack of knowledge, having an incomplete secondary education level and being a single mother.
