Abstract
The present study identifies the factors environmental in house in the children smaller than five years assisted in the Sub-Center of health Nuevo Portoviejo in
the period of January to June of the 2007.
He/she was carried out a descriptive study, falling back of longitudinal court, with the objective of determining the factors environmental intradomiciliarios
in those smaller than five years, the same one had a sample of 100 patients, of which 68 children corresponded for their age from 1 to 5 years and 32 were
smaller than 1 year.
The main studied factors of risk are: Age, sex, origin, nutritional state, basic family composition, accumulation, prematuridad antecedents, absence of
nursing maternal sole right, antecedents of affections breathing baby’s, breathing family antecedents, housing type, passive exhibition to the smoke of
the cigarette, recent use of insecticides, paintings or solvents and existence of shops of graphic materials or crafts.
He/she was carried out the gathering of the information by means of the interview structured the mothers of the children smaller than five years and the
revision of the clinical files of the S.C.S Nuevo Portoviejo, for that which an observation guide was designed where you/they registered all the necessary
data, the same ones that were tabulated and processed to obtain the conclusions and recommendations of the present study.
Description
El presente estudio identifica los factores ambientales intradomiciliarios en los niños menores de cinco años atendidos en el sub.-centro de salud Nuevo Portoviejo en el período de enero a junio del 2007.
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo de corte longitudinal, con el objetivo de determinar los factores ambientales intradomiciliarios en los menores de cinco años, el mismo contó con una muestra de 100 pacientes, de los cuales 68 niños correspondieron por su edad de 1 a 5 años y 32 fueron menores de 1 año.
Los principales factores de riesgo estudiados son: Edad, sexo, procedencia, estado nutricional, composición familiar básica, hacinamiento, antecedentes de
prematuridad, ausencia de lactancia materna exclusiva, antecedentes de afecciones respiratorias neonatales, antecedentes familiares respiratorios, tipo de vivienda, exposición pasiva al humo del cigarrillo, uso reciente de insecticidas, pinturas o solventes y existencia de talleres de materiales gráficos o artesanías.
Se realizó la recolección de la información mediante la entrevista estructurada a las madres de los niños menores de cinco años y la revisión de los expedientes clínicos del S.C.S Nuevo Portoviejo, para lo cual fue diseñada una guía de observación en donde se registraron todos los datos necesarios, los mismos que fueron tabulados y procesados para obtener las conclusiones y recomendaciones del presente estudio.
