dc.description The objective of the present study is to evaluate the depression in older adults and their relation with the biopsychosocial determinants of health in the Integral Center of the Elderly Julio Cedeño. It is an exploratory and prospective study. 16% of the total population had mild depression, of those with mild depression, 8% were between 71 and 75 years of age, and 5% were between 65 and 70 years of age. To 11%. 10% of the total population presented mild depression, were overweight and 3% of them presented obesity of 1st and 2nd degree; 10% of them have a history of hypertension. 11% of the total of patients who showed mild depression are married and 5% of the total are widowed; The district from which most of these people with mild depressions comes corresponds to urban with 16%. Of the total population with mild depression, 11% had a low socioeconomic level and 5% had a medium socioeconomic level; 16% live with family; Approximately 11% have a good family situation and 5% have a regular situation. dc.description.abstract El Objetivo del presente estudio es Evaluar la depresión en adultos mayores y su relación con los determinantes Biopsicosociales de salud en el Centro Integral del Adulto Mayor Julio Cedeño. Es un estudio de tipo exploratorio y prospectivo. El 16% de la población total presento depresión leve, de estos que presentaron depresión leve, el 8% corresponde a las edades entre 71 a 75 años, y un 5% a las edades entre 65 a 70 años de edad, el sexo femenino corresponde al 11%. El 10% de la población total presento depresión leve, presento sobrepeso y un 3% de ellos presento obesidad de 1ero y 2do grado; así mismo 10% de ellos presenta antecedentes de hipertensión arterial. Un 11% del total de paciente que mostraron depresión leve son personas casadas y 5% del total son viudos; el distrito del que procede la mayoría de estas personas con depresiones leve corresponde al urbano con un 16%. Del total de la población que presento depresión leve 11% presenta un nivel socioeconómico bajo y un 5% nivel socioeconómico medio; 16% convive con familiar; aproximadamente 11% presenta una situación familiar buena y un 5% una situación regular. En cuanto a la relación con los demás 13% de los pacientes con depresión leve son personas extrovertidas, y 3% introvertidos; en relación al neurotismos 13% son adultos mayores inestables y 3% son estables; de acuerdo al tipo de personalidad 13% son personas coléricas y 3% son personas flemáticas. es_ES
