Las bibliotecas virtuales en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes de bachillerato de la UE Alhajuela, Portoviejo

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the strategies and procedures used in the Alhajuela Educational Unit of the canton of Portoviejo for the use of virtual libraries in the teaching and learning process of second year students baccalaureate during the academic year 2020-2021. Therefore, based on a qualitative and quantitative methodological approach, the techniques and methodological strategies for the good use of the bibliographic resources available in the virtual libraries used at this level were determined. In particular, it has been considered that the virtual library offers an appropriate context for students to use it autonomously, because it is a space where the more they get closer to reading, it contributes to the development of reading skills, creativity and language enrichment. An applied survey of 58 students in the second year of high school of the Alhajuela Educational Unit of the canton Portoviejo aims to determine that this space allows a more horizontal interaction between students and teachers and helps to develop processes of positive self-esteem and individual and collective identities. In short, throughout this study the importance of accessing a virtual library and how it helps to generate the reader interest of students will be evident.
