dc.description The main objective of this research was to analyze the consumption of psychotropic substances and their social and mainly health implications in adolescents treated in the psychology area of the Jipijapa Basic Hospital. The methodology used in the investigation has been descriptive, bibliographical and field; Guided in particular with the statistical method applied in the treatment of the information collected through the survey technique, whose data were tabulated, plotted, analyzed and interpreted; Thus making it possible to determine that opiates (heroin) and cannabis (marijuana) are the drugs most consumed by young people between 16 and 17 years of age, who become addicted due to causes related to the social field (friendships); whose frequency of consumption are daily or almost daily, because they are the cause of respiratory and cardiac diseases; It is important to know the clinical picture of the patients so as to provide them with the required attention in order to avoid future problems that may reveal a poor health condition and increase the mortality rate due to psychotropic addiction. es_ES
dc.description.abstract El objetivo principal de esta investigación fue analizar el consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas y sus implicaciones sociales y principalmente de salud en adolescentes atendidos en el área de psicología del Hospital Básico Jipijapa. La metodología empleada en la indagación ha sido la descriptiva, bibliográfica y de campo; guiada particularmente con el método estadístico aplicado en el tratamiento de la información recabada a través de la técnica de la encuesta, cuyos datos fueron tabulados, graficados, analizados e interpretados; logrando así determinar que los opiáceos (heroína) y cannabis (marihuana) son las drogas más consumida por los jóvenes entre 16 y 17 años de edad, los que se tornan adictos debido a causas vinculadas con el ámbito social (amistades); cuya frecuencia de consumo es a diario o casi a diario, son las causales de enfermedades respiratorias y cardiacas; es importante que conozca el cuadro clínico de los pacientes para así brindarles la atención requerida con el fin de evitar problemas futuros que pueden dejar en evidencia un mal estado de salud y aumentar el índice de mortalidad por la adicción a los psicotrópicos. es_ES
