dc.description | The present study investigated postpunctional headache and its relation to the use of needle 25 or 27 in spinal anesthesia at the Hospital Dr. Verdi Cevallos Balda, during the months December 2016 to February 2017. The research is a prospective, exploratory, cross-sectional study. We analyzed 55 clinical records of patients who developed postpunctional headache (PDPC) during their hospital stay. The majority of the patients belonged to the obstetrics service with 40%, being associated to the feminine gender the group more affected and in age between 33 to 42 years; Followed by 27% corresponding to the general surgery service and in a lesser proportion with 3% of the cases are patients with coloproctological surgeries. With the data obtained it is concluded that postpunctional headache is the most frequent complication after spinal anesthesia, it is related to the use of the needle 25 in the procedure because it is the most used. | es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | El presente estudio investigó la cefalea postpunción y su relación con el uso de aguja 25 o 27 en anestesia espinal en el Hospital Dr. Verdi Cevallos Balda, durante los meses Diciembre 2016 a Febrero 2017. La investigación es un estudio prospectivo, de tipo exploratorio, transversal. Se analizaron 55 historias clínicas de pacientes que desarrollaron cefalea postpunción (CPPD) durante su estancia hospitalaria. La mayoría de los pacientes pertenecían al servicio de obstetricia con un 40%, asociándose al género femenino el grupo más afectado y en edad comprendida entre 33 a 42 años; seguido del 27% correspondiente al servicio de cirugía general y en menor proporción con un 3% de los casos son de pacientes con cirugías coloproctológicas. Con los datos obtenidos se concluye que la cefalea postpunción es la complicación más frecuente posterior a la anestesia espinal, se relaciona con el uso de la aguja 25 en el procedimiento por ser la más utilizada. | es_ES |
