ESTUDIO COMPARATIVO EN EL TRATAMIENTO DE PACIENTES DIABÉTICOS NO CONTROLADOS Y NO TRATADOS ANTERIORMENTE CON METFORMINA-LOSARTÁN Y METFORMINA - ENALAPRIL EN LA PARROQUIA SAN PLÁCIDO DURANTE EL PERIODO 2011

Abstract

In order to test the therapeutic effects that can be found in diabetic and hypertensive patients, the treatment of a group of 50 patients divided into 2 groups of combinations 25con Metformin / Metformin Losartan and / Enalapril. 500mg dose of metformin base, 50 mg of Losartan, Enalapril 5mg. Patients enrolled in the study were chosen according to their medical history, type of pharmacology previously used them, time of diagnosis of type 2 diabetes at least a year and a maximum 4.5 years, the referent of peasant insurance subcenter the quarry site of the parish San Placido, with the support of the director, and staff working in that facility. The study was conducted over a period of 3 months, performing weekly and monthly checks of patients involved, capillary blood glucose levels, blood pressure and weight. Among the results was a better therapeutic profile of the combination metformin / Losartan unlike the combination metformin / Enalapril had lower percentages of improvement in the parameters of fasting glucose, blood pressure and weight. We recommend continued treatment for these patients, and the use of these new drug combinations in patients who meet the conditions and restrictions have no drugs involved.
