PERFIL DE EGRESO DE LA CARRERA DE LABORATORIO CLÍNICO DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE MANABÍ CONTEXTUALIZADO EN LA REALIDAD LOCAL Y REGIONAL

Abstract

The graduate profile in the universities is based on the skills that the professional has at the time of graduating from the career, fulfilling the social and substantive functions of education. Incorporating knowledge and certain skills is necessary at the time of creating or reforming an exit profile, in addition to taking into account the attitudes, values, knowledge and skills involved in the performance of the professional as such. Based on the foregoing, we saw the need to verify if the current graduation profile of the Technical University of Manabí is in accordance with the needs of society and the labor field, for which three surveys were applied to curricular subjects in the which consisted of 120 students who are already doing their pre-professional practices, 34 professionals graduated from the 2013 mesh at the Technical University of Manabí and 30 employers of clinical laboratories in the province of Manabí, in which qualified professionals work at the Technical University of Manabí . The surveys carried out in the research were emphasized in the capacities present in the discharge profile of the 2013 mesh of the Clinical Laboratory career, investigating if these allow the professional to be highly competitive in the labor field, and in turn he made us known the shortcomings and needs that exist in it. By having the pertinent information thanks to the surveys, we established the deficit present in the career of the Cynic Laboratory, in terms of knowledge and the structural. With the data collected in the surveys of employers and professionals, we elaborated a profile of consulted egress, based on the generic and specific competences, that said curricular subjects considered necessary for the clinical laboratory to develop in the workplace.
