PROGRAMA DE PREVENCION PARA ENFERMEDADES PREVALENTES EN LA INFANCIA, DIRIGIDO A LOS NIÑOS MENORES DE 5 AÑOS QUE ACUDEN AL SUBCENTRO DE SALUD “SAN CRISTOBAL”. ABRIL A SEPTIEMBRE DEL 2008

Abstract

With the objective of contributing with the reduction of the indexes of morbility of the predominant illnesses in the childhood in the community "San Cristóbal" during the period of April - September of the 2008 we carry out a study of type ACTION - INVESTIGATIVE - PARTICIPATIVE with the population smaller than 5 years of the Citadel New Paradise and San José, because one of the main problems that it suffers to the Sub center of Health of this community is the insufficient support that you/they are given to the programs of predominant prevention of illnesses of the childhood. To achieve this objective they were carried out different activities like domiciliary visits, control doctors, laboratory exams, delivery of vitamins, feeding with supplements of soya, shops of educational chats, and pursuit to cases of morbility, days of environmental reparation and purification of the water. With the application of these activities the emphasis of the team of health was increased in offering attention of quality and warmth to the community, bigger integration of the mothers to the sub center attending the periodic controls, it was possible to educate to the families on the care and prevention of predominant illnesses in the childhood you achievement to optimize the quality of the children's life smaller than 5 years and they improved the coverings of attention in the sub center of health during the months of execution of the project.
