dc.description The role of the social worker in his work with child workers is to provide its contribution to eradicate the various forms of exploitation to children and contribute so that their rights are respected. Thus this professional uses all the necessary procedures that help children develop fully each of the capabilities. Thus, social worker brings with her experience in the solution of a problem as complex as it is child labour. Social worker is linked to lower workers in places as the market no. 2 in the city of Portoviejo because their work requires to provide its services in sectors and places where rights can be violated with ease. The reason which induced to perform this work, was specifically based on knowing how social worker can intervene facing child labour that arises in the market no. 2 in the city of Portoviejo. This research allowed to learn the complex task of these professionals. Against this background, arose as a general objective, which consisted in proposing a plan of professional intervention against child labour developed in the market No. 2 of the city of Portoviejo, Manabi province, during the year 2017; objective that was taking a population of 80 child workers and 20 social workers. For the success of the work, it was necessary to use the research methodology - diagnostic - purposeful, that allowed to clarify and establish the veracity of this, employing the methods: investigative, analytical and statistical literature. es_ES
dc.description.abstract La función del Trabajador Social en su labor con los niños trabajadores es brindar su aporte para erradicar las diversas formas de explotación a los menores y contribuir para que sus derechos sean respetados. Con ello este profesional emplea todos los procedimientos necesarios que contribuyan a que los menores desarrollen a plenitud cada una de las capacidades. De esta forma, el Trabajador Social aporta con su experiencia en la solución de una problemática tan compleja como es el trabajo infantil. El Trabajador Social se encuentra vinculado con los menores trabajadores en sitios como el Mercado número 2 de la ciudad de Portoviejo porque su labor requiere que preste sus servicios en sectores y lugares donde los derechos de los niños puedan ser vulnerados con facilidad. Este trabajo, se basó específicamente en conocer de qué manera el Trabajador Social puede intervenir en el trabajo infantil que se suscita en el Mercado número 2 de la ciudad de Portoviejo. Este trabajo permitió conocer la compleja tarea de estos profesionales. Con estos antecedentes, se planteó proponer un plan de intervención profesional frente al trabajo infantil desarrollado en el Mercado número 2 de la ciudad de Portoviejo, provincia de Manabí, durante el año 2017; objetivo que se cumplió tomando una población de 80 niños trabajadores y 20 Trabajadores Sociales. Para lograr el éxito del trabajo fue necesario utilizar la metodología de investigación – diagnóstica – propositiva, que permitió esclarecer y establecer la veracidad de la misma, empleándose los métodos: investigativo, bibliográfico, analítico y estadístico. es_ES
