dc.description The management of the conservation and digitization of the documents is carried out at the Technical University of Manabí. The main objective of this work was to implement an area for the management of conservation and digitalization of documents in the Faculty of Humanistic and Social Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí. A descriptive study was carried out, where the methods of the theoretical level of knowledge were applied: inductive-deductive, analysis and synthesis and historical logical in what was the exposition of the theoretical presuppositions. Likewise, the documentary analysis was used as a method of practical knowledge level in the bibliographic review and in the identification of the documents object of conservation and those that were considered for its digitalization, using as instrument the document form. Descriptive statistics are also applied in the calculation of the percentages of the selected documents. We performed the stakeholder analysis, the problem tree, the target tree, the alternative tree and the logical framework matrix. The project identifies the problem and the need to manage the preservation and digitization of documents. It shows the budget executed for the acquisition of equipment and materials that made possible the functionality of the conservation and digitization area. Conclusions and recommendations derived from the research are shown. es_ES
dc.description.abstract La gestión de la conservación y digitalización de los documentos se desarrolla en la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue implementar un área para la gestión de la conservación y digitalización de los documentos en la facultad de Ciencias Humanísticas y Sociales de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí. Se realizó un estudio de tipo descriptivo, donde se aplicaron los métodos de nivel teórico del conocimiento: inductivo- deductivo, análisis y síntesis e histórico-lógico en lo que fue la exposición de los presupuestos teóricos. Asimismo, se empleó como método de nivel práctico del conocimiento el análisis documental en la revisión bibliográfica y en la identificación de los documentos objeto de conservación y los que se consideraron para su digitalización, utilizando como instrumento la ficha de documentos. Igualmente se aplica la estadística descriptiva en el cálculo de los porcentajes de los documentos seleccionados. Se realizó el análisis de involucrados, el árbol del problema, el árbol de objetivos, el árbol de alternativas y la matriz de marco lógico. En el proyecto se identifica el problema y la necesidad de gestionar la conservación y digitalización de los documentos. Se expone el presupuesto ejecutado para la adquisición de equipos y materiales que hicieron posible la funcionalidad del área de conservación y digitalización. Se muestran conclusiones y recomendaciones derivadas de la investigación realizada. es_ES
