dc.description This study has as main objective to evaluate the quality of life in children under 15 years of age, attended at the Hospital Verdi Cevallos Balda de Portoviejo. The present study was a descriptive, analytical, retrospective, cross-sectional study. We used several tools, such as the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire, the sociodemographic questionnaire and the clinical file to assess obstetric risk, Which we present with their respective analysis. With a population of 30 pregnant women, the most common age of pregnancy was 14 years, most were secondary, the age of onset of sexual intercourse was 13-14 years (84%); Favorable results were obtained according to the SF-36 questionnaire indicating that the majority had a good health condition with 53% and the highest percentage with respect to quality of life we found in the psycho-emotional dimension 60%, while in the social area the worst result was 57%. Satisfactorily different from what was thought at the beginning of the study, the majority of pregnant women had an obstetric risk of 70%, however, those pregnant women with high or imminent risk were associated with worse quality of life. es_ES
