| dc.description | La rotura prematura de membranas (RPM) es definida por el Ministerio de Salud Pública del Ecuador como la rotura espontánea de membranas después de las 22 semanas de gestación (SG) hasta aproximadamente una hora del inicio del trabajo de parto. La presente tiene como finalidad analizar los factores asociados a la ruptura prematura de membrana en gestantes atendidas en el Hospital Dr. Verdi Cevallos Balda del cantón Portoviejo. Para llevar a cabo la investigación, se aplicó un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, transversal, no experimental, mediante el análisis de 50 historias clínicas, aplicando un instrumento como ficha de recolección de datos, que permitió establecer las características socio-demográficas de la población, consiguiendo determinar los siguientes aspectos: la edad de las gestantes se situó entre los 15 a 24 años, en mayor porcentaje provenientes de zonas urbanas, cuyo nivel de instrucción es secundario y de estado civil de unión libre. En cuanto a los factores clínicos, mayormente se atendieron pacientes con más de 37 SG, con periodos intergenésico superiores a dos años, además presentaron un bajo porcentaje de infecciones en el tracto urinario (IVU), prevalencia de anemia leve en la mitad de los casos y concerniente a corioamnionitis y abruptio placentae, no se determinaron valores mayormente representativos. Respecto a los factores obstétricos, se identificó que las gestantes eran en mayor porcentaje multíparas, sin evidencia representativa de embarazos múltiples, asimismo una cantidad no específica de estas pacientes presentaban antecedentes de abortos y partos pre-términos. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Premature rupture of membranes (PRM) is defined by the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador as spontaneous rupture of membranes after 22 weeks of gestation (SG) until approximately one hour after the start of labor. The present purpose is to analyze the factors associated with premature membrane rupture in pregnant women treated at the Dr. Verdi Cevallos Balda Hospital in the Portoviejo canton. To carry out the research, a descriptive, retrospective, cross- sectional, non-experimental study was applied, through the analysis of 50 medical records, applying an instrument as a data collection sheet, which allowed to establish the socio- demographic characteristics of the population, managing to determine the following aspects: the age of the pregnant women was between 15 to 24 years old, with a higher percentage coming from urban areas, whose level of education is secondary and with a civil status of free union. Regarding clinical factors, mostly patients with more than 37 OS were seen, with intergenetic periods of more than two years, they also had a low percentage of urinary tract infections (UTI), prevalence of mild anemia in half of the cases and concerning chorioamnionitis and abruptio placentae, mostly representative values were not determined. Regarding obstetric factors, it was identified that the pregnant women were multiparous in a higher percentage, with no evidence of multiple pregnancies, and pre-term deliveries. | |
