Abstract
El trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar un estudio sobre las competencias del Trabajador Social en las Unidades Educativas del Cantón Portoviejo: Caso de estudio Unidad Educativa Portoviejo. La educación es donde se adquieren las competencias durante el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje con lo que respecta a la carrera elegida que serán desarrolladas en el mercado laboral. La intervención del profesional en Trabajo Social en las Unidades Educativas consiste en brindar apoyo y orientación a los alumnos, padres y profesores y así prevenir o disminuir factores negativos que no permiten el desenvolvimiento activo del estudiante. Como resultado se destaca las diferentes competencias que deben adquirir los profesionales en Trabajo Social en el ámbito educativo para la resolución de problemas específicos y concretos de la vida diaria que permitan al ser humano desarrollarse con plenitud y afrontar los problemas que se le presenten.

The work has as objectives present a Study on competencies the work social in the educational units from canton Portoviejo: case of study educational units Portoviejo. The Education is where they are acquired the competences during the process of teaching and learning With regard to the chosen career that Will be developed in the labor market. The intervention of the professional in social work in the educational units is to provide support and guidance to students, fathers and teachers and so preventing and reducing negative factors that that do not allow the active development of the student. As a result stands the different competencies that To be acquired by professionals in social work in the Educational setting for problem solving Specific and concrete of the Daily life that allow To the human being to develop fully facethe problem that present.
