| dc.description | El Síndrome de Burnout o síndrome de agotamiento psicológico es uno de los problemas ocupacionales más comunes, con muchos efectos destructivos que pueden contribuir a la aparición de algunos trastornos como ansiedad, depresión y pérdida de motivación personal. En este sentido, el objetivo del presente estudio fue analizar la prevalencia del síndrome de Burnout en el personal de enfermería del Hospital General Portoviejo, cuyos objetivos específicos fueron caracterizar socio-demográficamente la población de estudio, identificar el nivel del síndrome de Burnout según sus dimensiones: agotamiento emocional, realización personal y despersonalización y establecer la relación entre el nivel de Síndrome de Burnout y los datos sociodemográficos. El estudio fue de tipo retrospectivo, descriptivo y transversal en el personal de enfermería del área de cirugía y clínica del Hospital General Portoviejo. Con respecto al universo de estudio estuvo constituido por los 79 profesionales de enfermería. En cuando a la recolección de la información se utilizó un cuestionario y la escala de Maslach Burnout Inventory, en su adaptación al castellano. Con respecto a los resultados obtenidos, la tasa de prevalencia del Burnout entre los profesionales de salud fue del 40% en un nivel medio, el 84% tuvo un nivel bajo en la dimensión de agotamiento y cansancio emocional, mientras que el 7% tienen un nivel medio. De esta manera, se identificó el nivel del Síndrome de Burnout según sus dimensiones y se determinó que la realización profesional y personal mostró mayor afección en el personal de enfermería con un nivel alto. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The Burnout Syndrome or psychological exhaustion syndrome is one of the most common occupational problems, with many destructive effects that can contribute to the appearance of some disorders such as anxiety, depression and loss of personal motivation. In this sense, the objective of the present study was to analyze the prevalence of Burnout syndrome in the nursing staff of the Portoviejo General Hospital, whose specific objectives were to characterize the study population socio-demographically, to identify the level of the Burnout syndrome according to its dimensions: emotional exhaustion, personal fulfillment and depersonalization and establish the relationship between the level of Burnout Syndrome and sociodemographic data. The study was retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional in the nursing staff of the surgery and clinic area of the Portoviejo General Hospital. Regarding the universe of study, it was made up of 79 nursing professionals. Regarding the collection of information, a questionnaire and the Maslach Burnout Inventory scale were used, in its adaptation to Spanish. Regarding the results obtained, the prevalence rate of Burnout among health professionals was 40% at a medium level, 84% had a low level in the dimension of exhaustion and emotional fatigue, while 7% have a medium level. In this way, the level of Burnout Syndrome was identified according to its dimensions and it was determined that professional and personal fulfillment showed greater affection in nursing personnel with a high level. | |
