ESTUDIO DE FACTIBILIDAD PARA LA IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE UNA PLANTA PROCESADORA DE CACAO Y SUBPRODUCTOS EN LA PARROQUIA RICAURTE DEL CANTÓN CHONE.

Abstract

The entrepreneurial project arose from the need to have a processing plant for cocoa and its derivatives in the parish of Ricaurte, since in this parish there is raw material from the cocoa producers in the area. A feasibility study was carried out for the implementation of a cocoa and by-product processing plant in the Ricaurte parish of the Chone canton. A market study was carried out, where it will be determined that there is an unsatisfied demand of 13% of chocolate, butter and cocoa husk, while 89% of respondents consider that it is important to have a cocoa processing plant. Through the engineering of the project, the adequate structure of the size of the plant, the availability of financial resources, availability of raw material that is required to satisfy the existing demand was developed. The process diagram was made which helps to promote and explain in a clear way the operations required in the process, from the entry of the raw material to the finished product. The financial study showed an initial investment of $58.168,00 dollars, the study was projected for five years reaching a net flow of $192004,01 dollars, the cost benefit showed a value of $1.45. The value of the NPV of the project was $20.742,05 and the IRR reached a value of 27%, a sensitivity of 14% was obtained, which indicates that the project is accepted. An environmental study was carried out analyzing the impacts that may occur in the project, which has positive and negative impacts within permissible ranges.
