CONOCIMIENTOS, ACTITUDES Y PRÁCTICAS SOBRE SALUD SEXUAL EN ESTUDIANTES DE 15 a 19 AÑOS DEL COLEGIO NACIONAL MIXTO “ELOY ALFARO” DEL CANTÓN SUCRE – MANABÍ, DICIEMBRE 2006 a JUNIO 2007

Abstract

In this investigation about Knowles, Attitude and Practices on Sexual Health in the students of 15 and 19 years of the high school “Eloy Alfaro” from the Cantón Sucre, did prospective, longitudinal and descriptive type; Whose universe conform it the total of above-mentioned students in number of 363 and the sign represented by the 30 % of the universe with 109 students. The technique of the questionnaire was used for the take of data, and for the selection of sample (non probabilistic sampling by convenience), determinning that the bigger student age bracket is between 15 and 16 years. The marital status the fact that he predominates is single. The bigger population getting an education comes from area urban and it finds its place in bad economic situation. Besides the students have high percentages in levels of inadequate knowledge and ignorance of others, without importing sex, age, marital status, religion, social stratum and demographic situation. They are student's majority of these of female sex. They evidence also positive attitudes in front of Sexual Health theme, although inadequate knowledge, which as they seem to come of misguidance at the home and the high school, demonstrating incongruence for the level of knowledge before expressed, for what is denoted the principal influences of means of communication and institutions of the estate in the attitudes of the teens in front of their sexuality.
