Abstract

Keeping in mind the importance of such a vital liquid as the water, for the man's life, as well as for the nature that surrounds us, knowing the very diverse uses and their multiple sources of contamination that mean problems of health; it felt pertinent to carry out a study about the factors related with the gastrointestinal illnesses of origin hídrico. The objectives of this investigation are to establish the magnitude, the graveness and characteristic of the illnesses hydrias, to identify the environmental factors related with these illnesses, to determine the factors cultural partner related with the illnesses hydrias; to establish the process of medical attention in these pathologies, to diffuse a training program for the consumption of sure water in the population, and to carry out a rising of the clinical record and mapped of risk. It is a type of Traverse Descriptive study that was carried out in the Canton Portoviejo located in the central part of the County of Manabí whose population is mostly urban. The population universe conforms it the patients assisted with gastrointestinal illnesses in the Operative Unit of the Area Nº1 Center Infantile Maternal Andrés of Vera and Hospital Regional Dr. Verdi Cevallos Balda. The data were extracted of the Clinical Histories, of the registration of A.I.E.P.I it stops smaller than 5 years, of the EPI 1 local and EPI 2. to 20% of these patients she/he was applied a survey, to the access of basic services and hygiene of consumption of foods. They Took 4 samples of water in different points of the City which were subjected to bacteriological studies for the INH of Portoviejo. The Parasitosis was the most predominant pathology in school, most of investigated people present access of drinkable water, to the service of gathering of garbage, but it is faulty the service of sanitary sewer system in its majority uses septic wells. The factor partner - cultural that influences it is the bad habits of hygiene and the consumption of foods in the street. The diagnosis of these pathologies is generally clinical and the combined treatment of bencimidazoles and mitronidazoles.
