| dc.description | Se realizó una evaluación de los flavonoides presentes y una caracterización de las propiedades fisicoquímicas de los propóleos procedentes de las parroquias Convento, Eloy Alfaro, Ricaurte, Santa Rita, Canuto, San Antonio y Boyacá en el cantón Chone; Adicionalmente, se determinó la concentración de fenoles totales y flavonoides, así como la actividad antioxidante de los extractos etanólicos de propóleos (EEP), mediante la técnica de DPPH. El análisis fisicoquímico de los propóleos mostró valores promedio de 23.18%, 7.96%, 1.39%, 14.93%, 22.06%, 77.94%, y 84.76%, para el rendimiento, humedad, ceniza, ceras, sustancias insolubles en EtOH, impurezas mecánicas y punto de fusión respectivamente. La determinación de los fenoles totales, se encuentra un valor promedio de 56.97mg GAE gEEP 1, en lo que respecta a la cantidad de flavonoides tenemos como promedio 47.09mg QE gEEP 1. En lo referente a la capacidad antioxidante de los extractos de propóleos tenemos un valor promedio de 950.16umol gEEP-1. En general los resultados obtenidos mostraron una gran variabilidad de los datos fisicoquímicos de los propóleos muestreados en las diferentes parroquias, cumpliendo en algunos casos y en otros no con las normativas de control de calidad tanto ecuatoriana como brasilera; es menester, destacar que los EEP analizados presentaron un nivel de concentración media de fenoles totales, los cuales, dan lugar a niveles de actividad antioxidante altos. | |
| dc.description.abstract | An evaluation of the flavonoids presents and a characterization of the physicochemical properties of propolis from the parishes of Convento, Eloy Alfaro, Ricaurte, Santa Rita, Canuto, San Antonio and Boyacá in the canton of Chone was carried out; in addition, the concentration of total phenols and flavonoids was determined, as well as the antioxidant activity of ethanolic extracts of propolis (EEP), using the DPPH technique. The physicochemical analysis of propolis showed average values of 23.18%, 7.96%, 1.39%, 14.93%, 22.06%, 77.94%, and 84.76%, for yield, moisture, ash, waxes, EtOH insoluble substances, mechanical impurities, and melting point, respectively. The determination of total phenols, we found an average value of 56.97mg GAE gEEP-1, regarding the number of flavonoids we have an average of 47.09mg QE gEEP-1. Regarding the antioxidant capacity of the propolis extracts we have an average value of 950.16umol gEEP-1. In general, the results obtained showed a great variability of the physicochemical data of the propolis sampled in the different parishes, complying in some cases and in others not complying with the Ecuadorian and Brazilian quality control regulations; it is necessary to emphasize that the EEP analyzed presented an average concentration level of total phenols, which give rise to high levels of antioxidant activity. | |
