EMERGENCIAS MÉDICAS FRECUENTES EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE LAS ESCUELAS JOSÉ MEJIA LEQUERICA, ESMERALDAS Y LUIS DUEÑAS VERA, DEL SITIO MEJIA DE LA PARROQUIA PICOAZA DEL CANTÓN PORTOVIEJO DURANTE EL PERIODO DE MAYO A NOVIEMBRE DEL 2008

Abstract

For the development of this community work entitled "Emergency medical frequent school students' Jose Mejia Lequerica", "Emeralds" and "Duenas Luis Vera," Mejia site of the parish PicoazÆ of Canton Portoviejo during the period from May to November 2008 ", was taken to the teachers and parents of each of the schools (156 people), which was conducted three training workshops in which subjects were given concerning the most common medical problems in the Children from three different schools, which also measured the degree of knowledge of each of them by taking a pre-test and post-test, the analysis shows that the great vacuum of knowledge about the subjects and the huge increase in the same post-training. In addition to the skills they made the formal surrender of a First-aid kit with the implementation of the basic and a booklet illustrating that shows step by step carrying out maneuvers to safeguard the lives and lessen the complications of prehospital children is the fundamental goal of our thesis, culminating with the same commitment from Managers of Schools and the Director of Sub-Health Mejia for successive training of teachers and parents during each year elective and evaluation of their expertise during the conduct of the School Health Program provided by the MSP.
