Diagnóstico y conservación de las publicaciones seriadas del archivo histórico de la UTM

Abstract

To determine the importance of the conservation of the serial publications of the historical archive of the Technical University of Manabí (UTM), which has a methodology: in a descriptive format, with a retrospective aspect and with a bibliographic approach, the analysis methods are used documentary and the synthesis for, as a counterpart to the investigative process, a survey and interview were applied as means of data collection. indicate that the technical processing carried out within the conservation process is the use of cataloging and also the application of the historical processing manual with a system called ARPA, within the conservation management. Conclusion: Diagnosis and preservation in serial publications are carried out systematically and with an intaglio order which helps to improve the operability of preservation and the informational memory of the documents that remain in the archive.
