CONOCIMIENTOS, ACTITUDES Y PRÁCTICAS DE SALUD SEXUAL EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE 15 A 19 AÑOS DE EDAD DEL COLEGIO NACIONAL MIXTO “ROCAFUERTE” DEL CANTÓN ROCAFUERTE – MANABÍ, DE DICIEMBRE DEL 2006 A JUNIO DEL 2007

Abstract

The study of the adolescents from different points of view has charged great interest, nevertheless pointing out that they know very little envelope the I finish of sexuality, the present investigation is of prospective, longitudinal and descriptive type and she/he has as objective to determine the knowledge, attitudes and you practice of sexual health in the students from 15 to 19 years of age of the mixed national school Rocafuerte of the canton Rocafuerte-Manabí of December of the 2006 to June of the 2007. The study universe was of 667 cases in both sexes, and you work with a sample of 30%, the adolescents affirm to not have a lot of knowledge it has more than enough sexual education. The information has more than enough sexuality they have obtained it by means of television, magazines and friends, they have had its first sexual relationship to early age taking as consequence that you/they are contagious of some infection of sexual transmission (ITS). As for the birth-control methods that the men have used the condom and the coitus interruptus and the women they responded in a high percentage the oral, injectable contraceptive and the rhythm. The education in prevention is a very important element in the control of the ITS in the adolescents and it is in what emphasis should be put, being a very effective form to guide them to assume a more responsible sexual behavior.
