dc.description It was carried out in the health center of May 1st, Portoviejo, from December 2016 to March 2017. With the users of the health subcenter Primero de Mayo that attended the activities of the community intervention; The main objective was to: Promote actions to prevent tropical diseases such as Zika and chikungunya through the implementation of an intervention plan for the improvement of the quality of life of users of the "May Day" subcenter of the municipality of Portoviejo. Through the diagnosis, a lack of knowledge of the means of prevention of Zika and chikungunya was identified. In the domiciliary visit, incorrectly stored water was detected, stagnant inside and outside the dwellings, facilitating the proliferation of mosquitoes transmitting these diseases. Therefore, an intervention plan was implemented based on the fulfillment of three specific objectives: 1) To instruct the users in study about the consequences of Zika and chikungunya. 2) Promote behaviors that improve environmental sanitation. 3) To promote on a permanent basis the adoption of preventive measures of diseases Zika and chikungunya. With this intervention the users are trained in the consequences of Zika and chikungunya and in the way to prevent these diseases; Behaviors that improved environmental sanitation were promoted, finally the collaboration of all the members of the May Day Community was obtained, favoring the success of this community intervention, it was able to motivate the population in 95% sanitary behaviors. es_ES
dc.description.abstract Se llevó a cabo en el Subcentro de salud Primero de Mayo, ciudad Portoviejo, de diciembre de 2016 a marzo 2017. Con los usuarios del subcentro de salud Primero de Mayo que acudieron a las actividades de la intervención comunitaria; el objetivo principal fue: Promover acciones que permitan prevenir enfermedades tropicales como Zika y Chikungunya mediante la implementación de un plan de intervención para el mejoramiento de la calidad de vida de los usuarios del subcentro de salud “Primero de Mayo” del cantón Portoviejo. Mediante el diagnóstico se identificó un desconocimiento de medios de prevención de Zika y Chikungunya, en la visita domiciliaria se evidenciaban agua almacenada de forma incorrecta, estancada dentro y fuera de los predios de las viviendas, facilitando la proliferación de los mosquitos trasmisores de estas enfermedades. Por ello se aplicó un plan de intervención basado en el cumplimiento de tres objetivos específicos: 1) Instruir a los usuarios en estudio sobre las consecuencias del Zika y Chikungunya. 2) Promover conductas que mejoren el saneamiento ambiental. 3) Impulsar de forma permanente la adopción de medidas preventivas de enfermedades Zika y Chikungunya. Con esta intervención los usuarios se encuentran capacitados en las consecuencias de Zika y Chikungunya y en la manera de prevenir estas enfermedades; se impulsaron conductas que mejoraron el saneamiento ambiental, finalmente se obtuvo la colaboración de todos los miembros de la comunidad Primero de Mayo propiciando el éxito de esta intervención comunitaria se logró motivar a la población en un 95% conductas sanitarias es_ES
