Propuesta de una metodología con enfoque teórico-funcional para la certificación de la playa Crucita del cantón Portoviejo

Abstract

The purpose of this research work is to make a proposal of the theoretical-functional aspects for the certification of Crucita beach, which will allow us to know the reality of tourist activities, its management and the perception of those around it, since this destination represents for the municipalities, and especially for Portoviejo, a fundamental and first class tourist resource. This destination is located in the Portoviejo canton of the province of Manabí, This study was supported by two surveys: the first one consists of 21 questions to the local community, the second one consists of 15 questions given to the service providers of the tourist destination, and an interview with the director of tourism of the GAD Parish, instruments created with variables that allow to know the level of compliance that the beach should have to obtain the certification. With the results of this study, improvement strategies will be proposed that will allow the adequate development of the tourist activity on the beach, thus minimizing the environmental impacts caused by said activity. The methodology applied is non-experimental, descriptive and documentary. Through the surveys and interviews a great part of the information and opinions about the research topic were gathered, being processed and in this way information, statistics and the criteria to make decisions were obtained as the research was developed. The population and sample consisted of 200 inhabitants and 150 service providers. As a result of the surveys, the level of interest on the part of both actors to participate in activities that help care for the environment and the research to obtain improvements that help achieve the certification of the beach became known in a positive way
