ENERO – JUNIO 2007(Universidad Técnica de Manabí, 2007) MEJÍA LUQUEZ, EDUAR ENRIQUE ; SILVA ORELLANA, NÉSTOR GERMÁN ; INTRIAGO LOOR, EDUARDOIn the city of Portoviejo during the months of January to June of the 2007 was carried out an analytic descriptive study of traverse cohort, based on the affections of the tract low genitourinary in the patients that go to the external consultation of the Hospital of the IESS of the city of Portoviejo, from January to June of the 2007, with a sample of 114 cases, considering that the dysfunctions genitourinary represent a problem that he/she goes in increase causing enormous social, economic repercussions and a significant number of inabilities in the population and at the same time he/she reveals the main ones diagnostic and the factors predisposing of the present problem. Considering the recurrence of nuisances genitourinary manifested by the patients that attend the medical consultation, motivated us to think about to study the factors predisposing to affections of the tract low genitourinary where we could determine among other factors the most outstanding: 63% corresponds to the rate of incidence of affections of the tract low genitourinary. 61% is bigger than 55 years of age, of masculine sex. They were observed118 pathological antecedents of Arterial Hypertension, continued in diabetes frequency and renal lithiasis. 27% of the sintomatology corresponds to dysuria, 17% to pollakiuria, 14% to hypogastric pain. 25% didn't present complications post treatment. 51% of the complications correspond to loss of the libido, 22% to Inflammatory Pelvic Illness and 3% incontinence urinary. 28% of the diagnostic methods correspond to echography prostatic. 21% of the carried out laboratory exams corresponds to urine Exam and biometric hematic. Of the 114 diagnoses 32% corresponded to Hypertrophy Benign Prostatic, 19% Infection of the roads urinaries, 16% lithiasis. In the face of this reality it was qualified the users that went to the external consultation during the development of the present investigative work.
