This thesis studies the feasibility of installing a processing plant ice cream at the Faculty of Zootechnical Science, Technical University of Manabi. The end of this first part, determined that 98 % of the population consumes ice indicating that the installation is convenient , a study of the product market, where demand , supply, pricing and marketing of the same was discussed was performed of the production plant, potential demand for existing product . Besides a business plan determining the optimal location, installed capacity and description of the production process was designed ice cream. An investment plan where the amount is $ 69,460.84 in a financial analysis of all conditions of operation is also included , considering the initial investment, operating costs total $ 10,373.08 , working capital is $ 17,358.59 , also the profitability of all investment under clearly defined , such as the Net Present Value $ 43,824.25 and the internal rate of return was determined that 37% was determined
